There are a lot of people making money by promoting ClickBank products and people are always looking for ways to promote ClickBank products without any investment…well, financial investment that is.

Even if you don’t put down any money, you will definitely need to invest your time and energy. In this article, I will share how you can do exactly that.

I’m going to make an assumption that since you are reading this article, you are also interested in learning how you can do affiliate marketing with free traffic.

This is a very popular search term entered into Google and other search engines by thousands of searchers each month and because of that, I see it necessary that I start off with this as the first main category.

I will then list the methods as subcategories, so, here we go!

Video

When it comes to content consumption, video has certainly taken the lead over the years. This has been accelerated by significant improvements in internet accessibility and higher internet speeds the world over.

Video is much easier to consume in comparison to text-based content. It has also been my experience that it is much easier to explain a concept using video. This makes video a great format to provide value to consumers thereby giving you the opportunity to promote Clickbank products to your captive audience.

There are many video platforms available today and here is a list of some of them.

This is the most important part of this process because if you get this right, you’ve got 80% of the work done. You want to get keywords that people are searching for on the different video platforms.

On YouTube, here is how you do it. Start typing a key phrase like “Dog Training”. YouTube will then start auto-loading search suggestions. These search suggestions are what people are actually searching for on YouTube.

The next thing you need to do is pick a particular keyword suggestion then look at the top 5 videos under that search term. Look at the competition for that keyword by seeing the number of search results that come up as well as the authority of the results.

You want to avoid results that are from established brands or celebrities. If you find that the top search results are dominated by smaller channels with not so much authority, this is a good keyword to go for.

It won’t be easy to find these golden nuggets but it is possible. Come up with a list of about 5 to 10 suggestions which you can create video content around.

Content Creation

The next step is to create content for your keywords. What you want to do is to offer as much value as possible to your audience so that they trust you and your opinion.

You want to follow a structured approach and this is what it looks like:

Step 1

Outline what you will be covering in your video. You want to offer your viewer a solution to their problem. I usually use the PAS formula that I learned in copywriting.

P Stands for Problem

Talk about a problem that your product solves for your viewer without necessarily talking about the product. A dog training video could talk about how difficult it can be to train a full-grown dog.

A Stands for Agitate

 Here you rub salt into the wound as it were. You talk about the many challenges that you can face with an untrained dog like poop everywhere or damaged property if the dog lives indoors.

S Stands for Solve

In this step you partially solve the problem for them then offer a full solution – your Clickbank product.

Create at least 5 to 10 videos following this formula and upload them to a particular video platform. I suggest that you also continue to post at least 1 video per week going forward as this greatly increases chances of your content ranking organically on YouTube.

Another way you could create content s to model the top video under a particular keyword. You can use browser extensions like VidIQ to spy on your competitors and model them as closely as possible.

If you choose this route, please do not plagiarise someone’s content. The idea is to model not to copy. You could easily get a copyright strike on platforms like YouTube if you practice plagiarism.

Promotion

Creating the videos alone will not usually do the trick, you also want to promote your content in order to start seeing traffic. It’s no secret that I’m a big fan of Pinterest. It’s one of the few free traffic sources that actually still offer value.

When you start getting a stream of viewers to your YouTube videos, they will also begin to rank higher in search results. Follow this plan and you will begin to see some good results over time.

Social Media

Social media is another good way to promote Clickbank products without any investment. There are different social media platforms out there each with its own set of pros and cons. We will go through some of them here.

  1. Facebook

Facebook’s been around for a long time now and has become a part of our everyday life. From its humble beginnings as a college project, it has grown into a multi-billion-dollar behemoth.

It used to be really easy to promote affiliate products on Facebook but there have since been many algorithm changes over the years meaning that, even if you have a big audience, only a very small fraction of that audience will see your content.

They have designed it such that users stay on the platform and are not led off it. Things like links to external sites now receive lower priority if you are posting to your wall or fan page. If you post a link that links to a property within Facebook, you are more likely to get more viewers.

The pressure from shareholders for profit also means that they are now more focused on paid advertising. This still brings significantly good results, but, since you are here to learn about free traffic methods, I’ll show you a free Facebook promotion method that still works.

Facebook groups are still a good way to drive traffic to your affiliate offers. The idea is to create a community around your chosen niche. Offer them great value and then occasionally recommend an affiliate offer.

This is still a really good way to get traffic from Facebook.

  1. Pinterest

I’ve already revealed just how much I am in love with Pinterest as a traffic source. I first learned about it early this year. I had known about Pinterest and have been on it for years now but didn’t know about the traffic potential until earlier in the year when I was researching ways to drive traffic to a new blog.

If you don’t know, Pinterest is classified as a search engine. When you search on Pinterest, the results are pictures posted by users known as pins. These pins usually have links to external sites and have been a really good source of targeted traffic for me and other bloggers.

  1. Instagram

Though Instagram is owned by Facebook, it is friendlier towards affiliate marketers than Facebook is.

The first thing you need to do is to find a niche market that you want to promote your affiliate offers in. Next up, you need to name your channel around your target niche. This is because when people search on Instagram, they use specific keywords.

If your niche is cryptocurrency investment, for example, you can name it cryptoinvestor_chris with Chris being your name. You want to be able to show up in search results when a specific keyword is searched.

Next, put a profile picture that is related to your niche. Once you’ve done that, create a good, descriptive personal profile.

Once you are all set up, you now need to post at least twice a day. Post pictures that are related to your niche and use up to 30 hashtags related to your niche. Add a description to your post that is informative. When you are writing out your post description, encourage people to click on your profile.

When you post use the following format:

  • 3 valuable posts
  • 2 personal posts
  • 1 business post

Follow this formula and you will gradually generate visitors to your affiliate offer. Make sure that you are consistent and you will do well with this method.
