For people in the United States, Canada and a few other tier one countries worldwide, there is little to no worry about how you can get paid. You have access to just about every option there is out there.

However, for the majority of internet marketers worldwide, there will be many restrictions based on where they are located geographically. This is the major reason that I have written this blog post so that you too can take part in this lucrative industry.

How to Get Your Blog Income if you are Non-US Citizen

As someone who is based in Zimbabwe, I have often hit a lot of roadblocks when it came to earning money online. This was largely due to the fact that we were and still are, under a lot of restrictions with global companies because of our political classification.

The laws are supposed to put restrictions on specific political players and their close circles but they affect all of us. It has meant that we don’t have access to platforms like PayPal (they recently opened up partially where you can only send and purchase but can’t receive) and other American online companies.

We share this problem with several other African, South American and Asian countries where online marketers and bloggers face restrictions.

It was a blessing in disguise because I learned many useful lessons in the process of researching some possible workarounds for these problems. This article is going to give you some of these payment solutions.

Receive Your Money as CryptoCurrency

This option was not available when I started out many years ago but fortunately for you, it is now an option that you can make use of. Cryptocurrency especially Bitcoin has now become an everyday part of our lives and looks set to be a major player going forward.

A lot of affiliate programs offer Bitcoin as a payment option and because of the nature of Bitcoin, there are no country restrictions on opening and operating an account. This opened up a lot of options for previously marginalised groups.

Receive Your Money as a Direct Deposit

Programs like Google Adsense will give you a number of payment options among which is direct deposit. If you live in a country that is not restricted by ClickBank, direct deposit is also an option. Your payment will be sent straight into your bank account.

It has to be noted though that this option attracts extremely high charges and usually only makes sense if the amounts you are receiving are high enough to justify this. An alternative is a to receive a check but this may take days or weeks to arrive before you can cash it.

Receive Money Through Western Union

Debit Card

Some affiliate programs will offer you a debit or gift card as a payment option. They will send you a Visa or MasterCard to which all your payments are deposited. You can then use the card to withdraw at local ATMs and to shop on and offline. This is a super convenient way to receive your money.

Receive Your Money Through Payoneer

payoneerThe last option which is the one I use more often than others is the Payoneer card. The Payoneer card is a debit card that comes linked to a US bank account. When you apply for the card, you also get a First Century Bank account.

This is a United States-based bank. A couple of years ago, they also introduced different currency accounts meaning you can now set up a GBP account and JPY account and other currencies. They also now offer a payment processor as well as an invoicing service where you can send your clients an invoice and they pay directly into your account. This is how I get paid for my freelance work.

Below is a table of the different payment options and some of the affiliate companies that accept those payment options.
