This guideline, as mentioned, really depends on the niche you are in. Some niches will earn much more with the same traffic while others will earn less than that. When we work with this logic, you will earn $100 for every 10,000 monthly page views and $1,000 for every 100,000 page views you get per month.

Have a Resources Page

Have 5 to 10 low competition, purely informational articles that are anywhere from 500 to 800 words then have one product review article. The smaller articles then all link to the larger review article.
When you do it this way, you get a lot of search engine traffic coming through to the informational article and being funnelled to the larger product review.
The product review will then have clearly marked links which say, check the latest price on Amazon. When a visitor clicks through and subsequently buys, you get paid a commission. Simple as that.
This call to action method can also be used to promote any other affiliate offer. Just make sure to clearly state what the user will get when they visit the link.
Use an auto Affiliate Link Plugin
If you run WordPress on your blog, there is a plugin that you can use which turns any text you specify into an affiliate link. For example, I can set it so that every time the word affiliate appears on my blog, it is turned into a hyperlink leading to an affiliate offer.
Build an Email List
The last tip I am going to give so that you optimise your affiliate earnings is to build a mailing list. Most visitors who come to your blog are not going to ever come back again. That’s a fact. You need to make their visit worth it by capturing their emails.
Once you have their email, you will be able to mail them for months or years into the future offering them affiliate products. To understand the power of an email list, each subscriber you have on your list is worth anywhere between $0.50 to $2 per month.
This is actually a conservative figure. There are people who can run email campaigns that will pay them way more than that.
Let’s do the math here. A 1,000 member list will pay $500 to $2,000 per month. A 10,000 member list will give you $5,000 to $20,000 per month.
If this doesn’t convince you to start a mailing list I don’t know what will. A mailing list is a powerful asset that will continue to serve you long into the future even if you were to lose your website by some freak accident.
